Greetings,
I just did the 60K service on my 02' RT, upgraded the brake lines, and had my mechanic perform a, "servectomy." Riding the other day and the darn speedo needle broke. I have read that it's nearly impossible to remove the lens to change the needle. Is this correct? I could cover the broken needle (even though I am not type A, knowing it is broken annoys the crap out of me) and use a GPS but the broken needle will be, "laughing at me" in the back of my mind. Following are a few suggestions I would rather not follow:
Purchase a used module
Have the speedo rebuilt for a few hundred over a broken needle
Any other solutions out there, more specifically, if I remove the dash can I "fix" the needle?
Thanks!
