R90/6 Luftmeister fairing bracket

I don't care what anyone else says. I liked my old school Windjammer/Luftmeister fairings. But, the re-welded mntg brckt has broken for the last time. Are the mntg brkts the same between the W & L? Are BMW Windjammer brkts available?
The whole cantilevered mounting system design was pretty cheesy. I used strap locks between the frame & the bracket as a safety.
Did anyone ever come up with a better mounting system?

I'm there with you! I've always had a full fairing and it really helps me avoid the beating of the wind as I'm out on a tour. I had some early breakages on my Luftmeister mount but got it welded and have not had a problem since. I'm suspect there are differences between a Windjammer and a Luftmeister. I googled and found some Windjammer frames being sold, but didn't find much in the way of Luftmeister. Since the Luftmeister was essentially "stolen" design, maybe they are nearly the same??

But there are different designs for different models of BMW. My /7 frame as a horizontal bar between the two downtubes and the Luftmeister frame takes advantage of that. I don't think the /6 frame has the bar. Here's picture up/into my frame mount for my Luftmeister on my /7. Notice the additional hose clamps on the cross member.
