Would like some suggestions for riding in SE Missouri

Some suggestions for SE Missouri.
Taum Sauk Mountain; hlghest point in Mo. near Ironton, Mo.. Cape Girardeau is a good city very picturesque on the banks of the Mississippi. Good local eateries and shops.
Also home to Grass Roots BMW dealership.

Anywhere on the banks of the Mississippi to see the river boat traffic moving up and down the Father of waters.

Johnson's Shut-Ins is also on the "must see" list. Great riding in the area (campgrounds nearby) and a chance to get off the bike and walk the river for about an hour or so and actually enjoy getting in the cool waters. (summer only!)

That's a good shop to stop at.
Half mile south of the shop is a neat bridge across the Mississippi.
Just north of the bridge on the west bank is the abutment from the old Mississippi bridge.

Good stuff. If U make it to Sikeston, head southeast toward East Prairie then south toward Dorena. Take F to the river and the ferry. Cross the river on the ferry to Hickman, Ky. Then back across the river. Nothing like being at water level on the Father of Waters. They don’t call it that for nothing.

If I recall correctly there a very few bad roads in southern Missouri. Voni and I have made many trips through that area. We like the areas around Eminence a lot. Find the double-letter and single letter roads that follow the rafting rivers and enjoy. Don't be rearful if you happen to hear banjo music. :)
Best typo today. :ha

Just north of Taum Sauk Mountain and Johnson Shut-Ins is Elephant Rocks State Park, all good stops to visit.
