What your motorcycle says about you

when I tell mine, (whatever I happen to be riding), its time to head home, they always tell me I already am!

of all the airheads out there, this one and the R90S are the two that don't scream "cheap":laugh

I beg your pardon? :scratch

OK; maybe ...

R100RS --- I wanted an Interceptor that would keep my ankles warm.

You should price out an R90S or an R100GSPD. They generally go for MUCH more money than any other Airhead. I got a decent deal on my GSPD, although I got a bit hosed by the dealer... so maybe it wasn't such a great deal after all. Still, it's mine, and I like it. :)

i'll agree, the 77 RS (esp the ones made in 76 it seems) are getting pretty pricey

i know, cause its the beemer that's really sparking my interest right now as a possible trade for my oilhead...........

1967 Triumph T120 Bonneville ----------If I'd had this bike instead of a
Cushman Eagle when I lived at the fraternity house in 1965, I might now
be married to a former cheerleader named Veronica.

Cushman back in the day was the ride of quiet soulful types who met in coffee shops with girls who wore black and read 13th century Italian poetry and listened to Bob Dylan.

Bonnies were ridden by the guy who had a Chevelle SS Convertible as his other ride, belonged to THE Frat on campus and dated Veronicas.

But Dylan actually rode a Triumph 500 Trophy twin!

Even had the T-shirt to prove it:

R1100RT

There actually are other stations on the radio besides NPR?!?!?! :p

Correction: Motorcycle on = cell phone off ;)

Great read

:laugh

R1200GS ------- I could ride around the world if I wanted to. However, first I must stop at Starbucks for a latte.
:bolt

What is this supposed to mean???????????????????????

PT9766

Beats me- I only copied this list from elsewhere.

For the record, my mother is in fact Episcopalian and the closest I've ever come to a Brough is the one I saw in a museum a few years ago.

Veg, ya done good! I really liked the Velo Thruxton! Way Way funny!

I think Daver90s post hit the R1200GS on the nose.

Thoughts on the GSA?

Cheers

I'm 6'-4" so he's right about that....
I don't covet the overpriced, burnt coffee diluted in foaming milk so he's wrong about that... I save those extra $s for the BMW oil filter. DuncDee's small Cup O' Joe to Go...
I'm not loaded " thanks to the GS payments" and not poor ( had to save for down payment) .....

Who are these R1200GS owners, really?

TE Lawrence and his family attended the Evangelical church. The British equivalent of the American "Episcopal" church is the Anglican church, also called the "Church of England".

PT9766

More precisely, the Episcopal is the American offshoot/variant of the Anglican.

Hell, I don't even like coffee! :sick

K1200rs

My K12RS is always getting me into trouble by saying, "Really, we can catch the horizon! Just twist the throttle, please." She is very polite, well mannered, and soft-spoken.

K75c- You needed a tool to do the job. Nothing fancy, just solid and dependable like a maytag. You can ride it to the dealership to get parts for your R75/5

If it's my 1951 BSA C11: I know they call me "Grey Porridge", but think of all the attention I draw.

If it's my 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50: Oh, sure! Bring that skinny liitle Kraut on the scene, and I'm stuck in the damned shed 99% of the time!

If it's my 2007 F650GS: C'mon! Pack the panniers and let's hit it! And if you hadn't slowed down in the mud back there, we wouldn't have tipped over, so don't go blaming it on me!:dance

Got that right. I was lucky enough to buy the 90S, 100RS, etc. brand new before they got so expensive...
