What things in your life remind you of Gillette 08?

This road I encountered on a recent trip near Randsburg reminded me a great deal of the ride across Kansas—except instead of corn there were mountains.

Gillette reminders...

It reminds me of a wonderful trip my wife and I made to Colorado in the early '80's. We took my '77 320i, and part of the route went through Wyoming. We stayed in Dubois one night going out, and Kemmerer, coming back. Our Rhodesian Ridgeback lionhound Nanyuki, came along.

I vividly remember this beautiful state. In the mountains one day we got lucky, and stopped to watch a straight tail Beechraft Bonanza take off from a small strip.

We will be back soon in a "new" boxer from Weissach - Zuffenhausen.

Those dips will keep MOA's fast riders under 80 mph for some of the time.:laugh

Tom is that dip in the road a fault line ?

Don't know, but probably. The San Andreas meanders around all over the place out here. I'm only about 100 miles from Parkfield, the earthquake capital of the world.

Not many trees to camp under...:dunno

Gillette '08

We just drove through Gillette last week. I noticed it's just down the interstate from that other place that has a big annual bike meet....:)
