Welcome to the BMW MOA's Member Marketplace. This is the place for MOA members to post "classified" style listings to sell their non-commercial items. The Marketplace is username and password protected, meaning you must be logged in to the Marketplace to see everything, and all posts are limited to MOA members. This is, however, the internet, and some caution is always merited. If, for example, someone contacts you with a good that is too good to be true, it probably is!

Who can post and read ads?
You must be an MOA member AND logged in to participate in the classified listings. If you are not logged in, you will only see the Member Marketplace Guidelines section.

Why members only?
The BMW MOA Marketplace is a member service. By making it member's only, those participating can trust that those shopping the classifieds are fellow BMW enthusiasts. Most importantly, they are protected from the spam that plagues other online classifieds.

Can spammers get my e-mail address from the Marketplace?
Because the Marketplace is members only and all e-mail addresses and other contact information are behind a login, you shouldn't receive any spam because of an ad you post. If you suspect that you have received spam because you posted an ad, please send a note to the Membership Team.

Do ads have to wait for approval before being displayed?
Ads are live as soon as they are submitted by the member.

How do I submit an ad?
Find the appropriate category for the item you want to list. Start a new thread for each new item. Provide a descriptive title for the item. List the price you are selling the item for. Provide any additional details about the item that you care to include. Be sure and include details such as where the item is located and what your asking price is. Include any links that direct potential buyers to your item. Pictures can be uploaded using the standard forum attachment feature. However, if you have the pictures stored on a photo-hosting website, additional pictures can be linked in.
It is important to include location information for the item so people can gauge the shipping costs. It is also important to provide good contact information so potential buyers/sellers can contact you. If you do not provide contact information, then you MUST visit the forum often enough to view responses to your ad and/or check your Private Messages.
If you have multiple items to sell, please don't try to fit them into one ad. Place an ad for each item in the appropriate category.
Do not misrepresent yourself or the item for sale.

How do I edit, delete or renew an ad?
Tools and menu options are available on each listing for you to edit and/or delete your ad when the time comes. You should delete your own items if the item sells before the listing expires. All ads over 90 days old, regardless of sale status, will be deleted. If your item is still for sale after 90 days, you should simply create a new listing. This will also put your listing at the top of the list in the category.

How long is an Ad posted?
An ad is posted initially for 90 days. Ads more than 90 days old will be deleted periodically. If your item sells before the 90-day expiration, you should delete your post. If your item is still for sale after 90 days, you should simply create a new listing. This will also put your listing at the top of the list in the category.

What if I have a problem with someone?
The MOA is providing the infrastructure for members to buy/sell items from other members. Ultimately, the transaction occurs between you and another member. You are responsible for resolving your conflict with the individual. Please do not post about conflicts here. This Marketplace is for buy/sell ads and listings. Anything else will be removed. If you need a sounding board or solid advice, contact Consumer Liaison, John Gamel, for suggestions to resolve any discrepancies.

What are the rules?
- Ads for items listed for auction or other platforms (e.g. ebay, Craig's List, ADV Rider) will not be accepted.
- No commercial use allowed. Please list only your personal items.
- Do not use the other forum areas to advertise that you have an ad in the Marketplace.
- Ads entered in ALL CAPS will be rejected.
- If your ad is in the wrong category, an administrator may move it to another category without notice.
- Profanity is not tolerated and offensive ads will be deleted.
- We retain the right to delete or otherwise edit any ad.
- Please refrain from adding dialogue or opinion to another seller's post. If the item doesn't meet your criteria (priced too high, not in good condition, etc.) save your personal comments and move on to find an item that suits your tastes.
