Which Forum is this that is being talked about? I have been off several for quite a while but would like to know which one I shouldn't get back on. Is there a reason for the obfuscation? When it went under "new ownership", the number of advertisements went up... BIG TIME. To the point that I would have to close 4 or 5 windows just to read a post.
I haven't been back since.

Just a local story about “gift cards” with bogus QR codes that will get you into trouble-I have brought this information up before. Seems like a good time to post a reminder- from the FBI.

The $$ involved in transfer fees are much less a driver of F&F requests than is the fact that once one hits a certain level of transactions a 1099 is generated for the IRS. Folks aren’t happy about having the $600 they received for a bike or part that cost them much more than that counted as income. If a seller wants PayPal F&F, I offer to do a commercial transaction and pay the fee myself (add it to the amount I'll give him). If he refuses that, then I bid adieu and look somewhere else.
Exactly!! I’ve done the same and never any issues.I've being lucky so far. I had people send parts before I even had a chance to send the payment and also the other way. There is still a lot of good people out there, the sad part is that the scammers seem to be catching up and taking over.
