Using SRL Neotec2 with android phone and Android Auto

I would like to be able to play music through my headset and control my phone with voice commands, such as call someone on phone. Android Auto is working for a friend with a Sena10, but I can't get it going on my SRL Neotec2 system. I also do not see the Android Auto icon installed on my phone.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm running Android 12 on my phone. To get to Android Auto, go to Settings > Advanced features. You should see Android Auto as the 6th or so item listed.

I have loaded many, many music files to my Android phone. I installed Samsung Music on the phone. I paired the phone and SLR-Mesh. Music starts and is controlled exactly as defined in the SRL-Mesh instructions. Final volume of music is controlled by phone media volume setting. A quick "Hey Google" and the phone is ready for voice commands to make a call. Next phase for me will be getting a newer phone with Bluetooth at or above 4.2, deleting the old pairing and re-pairing helmet and new phone to the motorcycle .... hopefully getting the same results or better.

I don't see where Android Auto plays into anything?
