Spark Plug Boot

What is the "special tool" used to remove the spark plug boot. And is there a substitute.

Cheers.........John

Easy Tool

Just take a disposable flat head screwdriver and bend the end in a vise to a ~45 degree angle. Carefully work it under and around the edge of the spark plug boot (use a cloth to avoid skiff marks) to lossen the boot.

This works better than using the plastic wrench from the original tool kit.

Using the special tool supplied in the tool kit took 2 - 3 minutes - using the screwdriver took 30 seconds.

I've used the plastic tool (sort of a half-cylinder) from the tool kit with mixed results. Once you get the hang of it, it works pretty good.

There are $ome cool alternatives out there from machined aluminum, I'm thinking maybe from Wunderlich. . . .
