Since I travel with a service dog and never know what the weather will be like, I always reserve a room. If it looks like the heat and humidity will be tolerable I cancel two days ahead, but just in case...
I have a non-smoking room at the Super 8 Des Moines with two queen beds. Check in Thursday and check out Sunday morning. If Tulliver is with me he's an absolute saint with no bad habits whatsoever. If 18 month old Glenlivet completes his training in time to be at my side this trip, well, he likes to sit on sleeping people.
Just throwing that out there if anyone is interested in splitting a room...must love dogs.
