R75/7 starting , neutral light, clutch lockout madness

My 75/7 started acting up a few weeks ago, wouldnt start unless i messed with the shifter to get the neutral light lit, today at a gas stop i couldnt get the neutral light to light, bike wouldnt start so i had to bump start. when i got home i started messing with the clutch lockout switch when i press on the spade connecter going into the clutch perch it will start. Is there a way to bypass this? what about the neutral switch? fixes? thanks greg
 
The clutch switch "makes" when you pull the clutch, meaning that it closes the circuit. You can easily bypass it by pulling the two teeny connectors off the switch and jumping them together with a piece of wire, etc. That should bypass any problem with the switch, but it will allow you to engage the starter in gear, so be wary wary careful :)scratch)

The neutral switch does the same thing, when the bike is in neutral the connection is "made" so that the starter can be engaged. This also completes the circuit to the neutral light. Those are two safety features that are good to have, for obvious reasons, but they can be bypassed in a pinch.....

It does? :scratch I had a failed neutral light circuit (fuse, I think) but I never had a problem starting the bike. Also no problem starting it in gear, as I habitually do (with the clutch disengaged - also habitual).
