R1200RT 2013 - Right Low Beam headlight turns on when started, after running a few minutes, get right bulb failure

My 2013 R1200RT has a very annoying issue, when the bike is started up both low beam headlights work fine, then sometime after a few minutes or after I have been riding a while I notice the headlight failure icon on my display. It is always the right headlight that goes out, the left is fine. I have LED bulbs and no other issue. When I turn off the bike with key switch and back on, the headlight comes on normal. I have swapped bulbs and the problem is still on the right headlight.

So here is what I tried. First if the rt bulb light shuts off, if I turn ign key off then on, it comes back on with no other action, then goes off again later, so a heat issue or bad connector would not be that problem as it happens whether the bike is running on the street or in the garage. I also tried different bulbs, added a resistor even though the bulb was suppose to be Canbus compatible. Swapping rt to left, the problem still ends up on the rt side. if the bulb was not Canbus, I should have the same issue on the left side. Since it takes me 20-30 mins sometimes to change the bulbs, making changes is slow. I have lived with this issue for a year, very annoying. Any new ideas would be appreciated.

Just to keep things together, the thread was first posted in Wetheads, but that is now closed. Continue discussions here!!

I would try a conventional H7 bulb on the right side. It could be that the computer is seeing too low an amp draw and thinks the bulb it out. Also check that the connectors are clean and not corroded or burnt.

Not to be rude (moi??), but please check out the earlier thread (linked by Kurt above in post #2) for previous troubleshooting questions, conditions, and answers...

Were you ever able to solve your headlight problem?
