R1200GS - Navigator IV

Does anyone have the BMW Navigator IV installed on a R1200GS (specifically a 2008)? I am thinking about purchasing the kit but I wanted to see how it's installed.

Thank you in advance.

I installed one on an 08 GS but I had to add the GSA windscreen and crossbar to do it.

The Navigator IV is supposed to mount on a mounting bar (not on top of the handlebar like earlier GS mounts) but you have to remove some screws from the bike. The screws were painted over and nearly impossible to remove. I switched to a GSA windscreen and everything was fine because the Navigator IV mounts on the crossbar.

That's probably as clear as mud but if you look at a GSA windscreen you will understand.

I had a machinist mount a ram ball onto a bolt that replaces one of the lower bolts in the handlebar clamp. Then use a ram arm, etc. anywhere you want it.
