R1100RT fuel filter u-hose alternative

Good morning ! I am working on getting my R1100RT back on the road. In cleaning the tank and removing everything to replce the fuel filter I found the U- shaped hose to be rock hard. As any of you who have replaced this know this little hose costs $68 or more from BMW. There was a time when I could go to my local auto parts store and say "hey, got anything that looks like this?" and then raid the bins with a knowledgeable parts expert. Not anymore. So after much internet poking around I came upon this : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4PH4HW5?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details a fuel rail hose for a 6.6 duramax diesel engine. $24 bucks on Amazon. I had to trim a bit off the ends but the ID is correct as is the bend. I pass this along with a "try at your own risk" warning of course, please do your owne research. I also found a box of the correct fuel hose band clamps to replace the incorrect ones someone before me installed on other lines in the tank at a good price.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4PH4HW5?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details

I don't know if it's still available, but Holley used to sell another viable alternative -
part number was 12-728, less than $10, trim length to fit. 8mm (5/16") I.D. by 136 mm (5.35") long.

Do you have a link for that box of clamps? Thanks.

As long as the hose is rated to be submerged in fuel. Regular fuel line is not.
Use SAE 30R10 hose which is rated safe for fuel submersion.

I’m a fan of OEM pre-formed, molded hoses for a correct, long term repair. Short term I will use whatever it works.

I see no reason to have confidence that that no-name, unrated hose is made of the correct material for in-tank use. As mentioned, it needs to be rated for it; otherwise the inner rubber is fuel resistant and the outer rubber is UV and ozone resistant. SAE30R10 hose has fuel-resistant rubber on both the inside and the outside, as does the OEM style hose with the NBR<>NBR construction.

EME has a corrugated line that is supposed to work. ($15) The people that last changed the filter on my RT apparently used it. I did not feel the need to change it when I changed my filter.
