Anybody have a good home-made or store bought tool, other than tubbing or funnel so when you drain the oil from the gear box is does not go all over the cat conv?

Thanks!

What I do is take a length of tinfoil and lap three edges. One edge I tuck into the space between the box and the cat. The other two sides I fashion into a spout.

Problem solved.

Good luck

drain

Try this a pc of PVC pipe (white) the size that will finto the tunnel that the drain plug is in. A somewhat tight fit about 6 inchs long. Cut it about 1/2 of the pipe about 1/2 of the length. push it into the drain area with the cutout up and towards the bike. Then you can loosen the drain bolt and the oil will follow the pipe out and into a drain pan, if you rember to put one at the end.

I've used an old plastic bottle. I cut the bottom end of it so it works like a flattish funnel and the spout works like a funnel.

Simple, cheap and easy.

Just don't melt it on the catalytic converter! :ha

1" I.D. vinyl tubing slides over tranny case boss. A "slot" cut into the side permits Allen socket on an extension for drain plug removal.

I use a 20+ oz water\soda bottle. Cut the top and bottom off and cut lengthwise, roll it up, put in the hole and let it unroll.
