^^^^ how much louder is it than stock? Is the tone higher pitched or deeper?
Significantly louder without the removable baffle, somewhat louder with the baffle but not obnoxious... In both cases it shifted towards sounding a bit like a big bore single dirt bike in a way. Have video that I need to figure out how to put online...
It appears that exhaust gasses might be directed at the bottom of the saddlebag or do my eyes deceive me?
The tip directs flow straight back, but is something I will test... Now thinking I know what a piece included was for... piece of steel about 2 inches long - that was probably to lower the hanging point... I may have to reposition... LOL! (No instructions...)

No place more beautiful for riding and camping than Hwy 1 north of SF Bay. Well maybe Big Sur haha. I grew up on the Peninsula and did many rides in both directions. Thanks for the reminder - definitely need to get back out there soon.
I feel fortunate to be living in Sonoma County. I kinda prefer it up here. I think the sea stacks make for even more beautiful scenery than Big Sur. I think we have fewer tourists clogging the roads in convertible Mustangs, too. :ha

Come visit. It's hard to beat it this time of year.

Decided to look for a GSA after my dad picked one up last year. Test rode this one two weeks ago with 0 miles on it as a leftover 2024. After the test ride, we talked numbers and decided to trade in my 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 and I could not be any happier. Absolutely love this bike. Already done a few things to it to prepare for my cross country ride from North Carolina to California in two weeks. IMG_7063.jpegIMG_7070.jpeg

Welcome to the forum!
Those 1250’s keep me from visiting a dealer…..and coming home with one!
Good luck with the new bike.

New to me R1200GS on Memorial Day weekend about to roll out for my longest ride ever! 547 miles around Central Texas. Hot day and the bike never missed a beat. Not worrying about whether I bought the right bike or not anymore. I did!
