Pairing Sena Mesh to Navigator

I am having trouble pairing my Sena Mesh to my Nav 5 or to the bike, does not seem to recognize the Sena unit, gets a message "no device found" both are blue tooth enabled. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

My experience is with a R1200RT, but nothing other than the BMW headsets will connect and work properly.

I could get my Cardo Palktalk to connect, but it was stuck on full volume.

I've successfully paired two different Sena headsets to my 2014 RT. The first time, I paired according to the instructions in the riders manual. But since I really don't use the bike's radio, I changed the pairing to be like this:

Nav V <> Sena - This allows me to hear the Nav V directions.
iPhone <> Sena - This allows me to use the Sena to access Siri directly.
Nav V <> iPhone - This allows the Nav V to get traffic updates from the Garmin Smart Link app.

I currently have the Sean SRL2 (non mesh version). For the Nav V to Sena, I believe I chose to pair using the GPS slot. You might want to reset your Sena, and ensure that all BT connections are deleted from your Nav V and try again.

One other note about the above setup. If I get a phone call, I see the phone icon on the Nav V. However, if I want to answer it, then I have to use the Sena button to pick it up, not the Nav V icon button.

Many headsets will not pair if they have previously been paired to another device. It is recommended to delete all pairings before starting to pair to a new device.
