2022 K1600GTL TFT/iPhone/Sena 50S Connectivity w/Siri

Hi everyone! My name is Sara. I just joined the club and have been reading your awesome posts! I'm impressed with the experience, knowledge, and humor of the group and am looking forward to interacting and learning with you!

I recently bought a new K1600 GTL Option 719. LOVE this bike! I have connected my helmet Sena 50S to the bike and get nav and music controllable by the control wheel, etc, but for the life of me cannot have the Sena App running to access voice Siri commands at the same time. Am I missing something or is this simply not available?

Hi Sara.

Richard Battles, with RKA Luggage, has a wealth of information available on his many SENA connectivity videos. If this particular video (below) doesn't help you sort things out look through his playlist. Often a problem arises when pairing in the wrong order or even pairing the wrong devices. For example, my SENA 50s is paired to my Garmin Navigator (I don't have the TFT screen), my phone is paired with my Garmin Navigator. My phone is NOT paired with my SENA because that would cause a conflict.

You do not need the Sena app running to access Siri so it must me another issue. I use an old Iphone 6 for navigation and music (no sim card) with my Iphone 14 in pocket for phone calls and use wifi hot spot so the old phone has internet. I can access Siri from whichever phone was last used without the Sena app running. I have the iphone 6 paired as 1st phone and my 14 paired as second phone. I never use the app anymore since the voice prompts for Sena and Siri work so well.
Sena has a pretty good forum as well.
