Our 2025 Rally : The What, Where & Why... Lebanon Tennessee : June 19-21 2025

A couple more to consider:
The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky... thinking you'll ride nearby that location.
And the BMW Zentrum (and Tour) at the US factory, which is nearby the BMWMOA HQ in the Greenville SC metro area.
Across from the plant is the BMW CCA Museum.

Did the Corvette museum with the Nashville BMW group. Ironically I didn’t do the main museum, but the cars on display (being prepped for buyers) was impressive, and they have a very nice restaurant perfect for lunch.

The issue of lodging prices is not new, nor does it just impact our rally. Try any town with an unusual big event. Traditional economists will call it supply and demand. Others will call it price gouging and greed. Lebanon has followed the same pattern as virtually every BMW MOA Rally city in recent memory. We booked a room in the same motel we stayed at last time the rally was in Lebanon. Not luxurious but at least clean and friendly. We booked the room for three nights -Thurs, Fri, Sat. We made the reservation on June 29 last year. Three nights for $251.

For me, the issue is sometimes more one of convenience to event. For most rallies I attend, the hotel is the focal point of gathering and planning.

My issue with SOME gatherings is that they pick a location (usually a campground) with no hotels or eateries nearby (walking distance). Not helpful for those who can’t camp and don’t have an RV.

Only once was the price of the location “bad.” A Honda group held an event in Park City, UT. It was a return to where they had their first event for the group. Unfortunately, the town had since hosted the Winter Olympics, so everything was overpriced. The hotel was nice, but expensive with no amenities included…they had to make a deal to have WiFi included for the group rate. Not a location I would have picked given the circumstances.

For the rally campers:

I’m trying to decide if I want an overland spot. I’ll be traveling with my wife and 11 year old. I went to the 50th and saw the “included” area is just Moto campers with smallish tents mostly solo. My wife will be driving and hauling all the camp supplies, so is it allowed to have a larger set up in the “included” area or should I get an overland spot? I did see if you pay for overland or RV, you can come in on Wednesday.

You need an Overland spot. You won’t be able to get your car in and out of the central tent camping.

The above information is from Page 13 of this Thread, Post 250 & 251...

This response is valuable knowledge for those arriving with family, especially so if youth are also attending.
And those with any type of rig & kit with 4 wheels or more, bike trailers, etc.
Running a generator, get yourself an Overland spot.

Lebanon offers a nice network of paved narrow lanes, that thread throughout the motorcycle designated, central camping area.
At least last time it did. Those pathways lured in quite an assemblage of "larger set-ups"...among our usual bike & tent operation.
And that brought on some troubles, as it got busy with arrivals Wednesday afternoon.
Cars & Trucks got "blocked-in" along those lanes, as bikes parked side by side, hundreds deep along the edges of both sides.
Even the folks wanting to "just unload & go park it" had logistical issues, especially Sunday morning.

That first Lebanon Rally was the generating force, in the creation of our Overland camping option, if I'm not mistaken.
The VA 50th and 2024 Redmond Overland offerings were real improvements, if you don't need the full RV parking amenities, IMO.

Mid April, not even quite springtime for some areas, seems like a long time until rally week. But literally eight weeks from this weekend, those undertaking a 7-9 day route into Lebanon… will be ready to ride!

Rolling out of here on like the 9th or 10th of June to head east.

That's going to offer a fantastic ride east! Museum tour's along the way, correct?
From near the same date... I'm considering the 50th Square Route Rally (MD) and Gathering of the Clans (NC) before Lebanon.

Yep. Barber, the Beechcraft museum in TN, Bowling Green and the Corvette Museum, Wright Patterson, The Ford Museum, the HD museum, art museums and architecture in Chicago, the Cessna thing in Kansas and whatever else I encounter. There's a car museum in western Michigan I'm looking at, as well.

Should be fun. I'm trying for shorter miles with time for breaks and actually seeing things outside the fog lines, ya know? :ha

Don't forget the Lane Museum in Nashville. It's only 30-45 minutes west of the Rally site!

Senior Admission $10.
Additional $ for the Saturday & Sunday Vault Tours... to see the near 350 motor vehicles in the basement.

News, Rally Blog

It's only 60 Day's until the music begins at the Rhythm & Rides Reunion.
A great line-up of entertainment is scheduled. Wishing for some Paul Thorn on a Tennessee Friday night? ... Done.

And the Stage Crew Committee could use some more Volunteers for the rally line-up of entertainment.

Has there been a rally site map posted? Can't find one on the Rally website.

Looking for something showing camping, RV, beer garden and music areas.
