Just wondering if anyone out there is riding NYC to the National. I've been riding BMW's for 20 years and I figured it was time I went to one of this things :) ... I figure we can do it in two longer today (about 450 miles each day), or take our time and do three 300 mile days .. or more scenic routes than straight highway. James

Tessler is riding from Gotham.

My route starts from Albany. The first day and stopping in Port Huron, Michigan - about 500 miles. The second day am Riding on the Edge - the edge of Lake Michigan.

The second day is only 479 miles and wind up in Harbor Springs, Michigan - 479 miles from Port Huron. Building in time to stop and smell the roses and take pictures - arrive in time to relax and have nice dinner.

The third day I get early to the Mackinaw Bridge to take pictures in morning light.

This is the route.

NYC- leaving Weds. 2-up

Riding to Rally on Wednesday with wife. We are kinda new at this and dont want to get stuck out in the middle of no where. Also looking to ride with others.
Just got a garmin to help with directions. Would like to take a scenic route and spend one night at motel. We'd like to leave rally Sunday morning to arrive in the city Monday.
