New top box, lock is inside, how to open

No drilling required. You're trying to push the last tumbler down to remove the cylinder, not press it front or back. Look at the 9th picture down in the link provided. That tab/tumbler you see sticking up is the locking mechanism that holds the cylinder in place. Put the key in the tumbler, tehn you have to press the tumbler down from inside the hole. Takes a little fiddling but it will go and you can slide the cylinder back out. DON"T FORCE ANYTHING. Press too hard on that tumbler front the side and it will bend and you have a whole new set of problems.

You may be at that point that you need to slip over to your dealer for some help.

Steve, thanks, but I have taken off the inspection cover, and tried to find the hole with a screw driver, with a paper clip taped to it and bent at 90 degrees, however, I can't feel the hole that allows you to depress the release key.

I'm wondering if the problem stems from the fact that the lock itself, is upside down when I put it in. Normally when you turn the key to the left, you have that springy feel that pops the lever, well I have that when I turn to the right. And the key basically only turns in two positions.

The instructions say the key has to be in, and turned to the lock position which then exposes the last tumbler which is holding the lock mechanism in (I'm not sure it is in the lock position). I think you are right though, I'm hauling the whole thing down to the dealer, I've messed with this enough.
