New Panjo Marketplace Feedback Thread

I see a recent listing from you here- http://forums.bmwmoa.org/showthread...200-GS-nicely-farkled-with-the-stuff-you-want
I thought you were on to V-Stroms for some reason.

Never mind.

Another screwy Panjo transaction.

Not only do you have to choose a marketplace, I chose MOA

You also then have to check another box to have it appear here.

Seems silly that you would want it in the MOA marketplace but not want it to appear on this forum. I would think you have to opt out of this forum, rather than opt in.

But that's just me. Perhaps that makes perfect sense to someone at Panjo.

.

When Panjo first started here, I took it for granted all the ads would also show in the forum.
After awhile I started to notice some of the Panjo ads did not show up in the forum.
I would think Panjo would have the default setting as all ads will show in the forum :dunno

Personally I would rather not see the ads in the forum. When am looking for something I will go to the classifieds then.

It's easy to see a thread is an ad, and if you're not interested, don't open it.

Hey Bud,

Hope you're having an excellent weekend! Just wanted to chime in and address the concerns you mentioned. By default, we'd like for all of these listings to appear on the forum; however there are a few members who created a Panjo account away from BMW MOA, which is why we included the checkbox in the listings page to double-check and re-establish the connection between their accounts. If your account is indeed not connected, then clicking the checkbox to post to BMA MOA would prompt them to connect their accounts. Once this connection is made, your threads will continue to automatically generate moving forward. I will forward this insight to the rest of the team as we continue to build a better marketplace experience for you. We really appreciate your feedback!

As always, if you have any further questions/concerns, feel free to reach us at support@panjo.com. Have a great rest of the weekend :)

I agree. How about an option to "opt-out" of seeing Panjo ads?

It's easy to see a thread is an ad, and if you're not interested, don't open it.

Just like Spam in your email. It's easy to see it is Spam, just "don't open it"...

Not really possible at this point- really

I don't really see it as "spam" because it is motorcycle related gear listed by your fellow Members. :dunno
If a Member is hitting the "new posts" button, the related thread will be visible. Pretty easy to just pass over it.

I come to this forum and others for things of interest. Ads to me are not of interest unless when I am looking for something.

A couple of forums I got to are useing the same forum software and Pango and you don't see Ads unless you go to the classified tab.

Don,

I'm not clear on what you are saying. When I go to the bikes for sale here, I click on the post and see the ad info on this forum. I don't go to Panjo till I click the big blue banner ad at the top, which will then take you to Panjo. Like this example from my listing:

2009 BMW R 1200 GS nicely farkled with the stuff you want.

This code is inserted by software, it is not something that I typed when creating the ad. When you click the box to include it on the MOA flea market then your ad appears here.

Perhaps I'm missing something here??? :dunno

When you click on new post you see all the new post. I just wish the Ads were not showing this way. When I want Ads I want a direct link for that. That is what the Marketplace is for.

New Marketplace Launches March 1

A new Member Marketplace will launch March 1, 2016! The new Marketplace will give MOA members the ability to buy and sell motorcycles, parts, gear and accessories in a simplified marketplace. We think you will find the new Marketplace easier to navigate and it integrates easily with the MOA's existing systems. This means MOA members need only their MOA username and password to access the new Marketplace.

The existing Panjo Market will be available to members through Panjo's website and active listings will remain in place at Panjo.com until cancelled by the seller. The current Marketplace forum listings will remain active for the next 60 days and MOA members will be offered help to migrate to the new system.

The Marketplace is still free to MOA members with no restrictions on the number of listings. MOA Members who want to get a jumpstart can begin listing March 1! To find the new Marketplace, simply click the Marketplace title on the MOA homepage menu bar.

Thanks Ted!

Checked it out this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see my ad had successfully migrated to the new Marketplace. :wave:thumb

How does the contact info get sent from the ad to the seller? Message here or something else?

You were one of my test subjects. Questions will be directed to your email from the contact link in the ad. I need to update all the email addresses this morning so that you receive notices. That will happen shortly. These few are listed under a generic "MarketplaceAdmin" id. Once you start listing under your own username and password, the contact email will be seamless.

I like the map feature.

Ted, I notice the pictures are small and do not go to full size when clicking on the picture.
Any chance of having this option in the future?

Unfortunately not at this time. However, you can link to an outside service for a photo gallery like SmugMug. You can put the URL in the body of the listing or you can place it in the website information. I have a request in to change that button to "Photo Gallery" or "More Info." In Bud Meade's ad for the GS, the website button links to his ADV post.

Marketplace

I thought I would try to list an item.
I filled out the required info but when I tried to select Country the only option was United States.
But then it came up Fenwick Ontario Canada, so I am confused.

My pictures loaded but none of the description is there.

Is this still in the trial stage and am I too early?

Checked it out on my I-Phone last night

Looked good there on the I-Phone. Appreciate the hard work and listening to the members.

Sheesh...BUD....7,000+ posts!? Wow! Are you retired? :)
