New Panjo Marketplace Feedback Thread

Updates to the Panjo Marketplace on BMWMOA

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you guys know that we pushed out a bunch of great improvements to the Panjo marketplace on BMWMOA, a few of which were high-priority items for BMWMOA members. We're excited to get these up and ready for you guys. Here are just a few of the new features/improvements:

- pressing "Back" in the marketplace will not result in users having to reset their sort & filter settings. We know that this is a big one for y'all...happy browsing :)
- we fixed an issue where certain pages were resizing incorrectly
- some users reported problems on the receipt page after making a purchase. Those issues have been fixed.
- there is a typo on some listings that use calculated shipping that would read "TDB" instead of "TBD." New listings will now show "TBD" correctly.

You can read about all of our new updates in this blog post.

Short changed by Panjo

Hi folks, I tried to purchase a Clymer manual for my '76 BMW R60/6. Was told that it would be very expensive to send in the mail.Did I want to cancel my order. I've received many items sent from USA to my home in B.C. Canada over the years with no problem or large expense. Later I was advised that it was just too much of a hassle to go to the local post office and get a quote for the mailing of a book. He said that he didn't want to make, " a number of trips to the USPS." I was informed that my payment would be reversed. Why am I getting a," partial amount "back? It seems that I am being charged because someone couldn't figure out how to send a small book through the mail. This is not a good introduction to BMWOA

Welcome to the forum and sorry this has happened. I would have expected more from another MOA member...I'm wondering what that person is really out by not fulfilling your order. One would have thought that the seller would have known right away that you weren't in the US. If I have the ad right, I don't see anything that specifies US only.

That said, this is something you'll have to work out with the seller. We're not privy to the exact conversations you've had with the individual and what the assumptions were going in to this.

I don't know the whole protocol here, but I would 1) contact Panjo and see what they might say or 2) contact Ted Moyer and see if he can intervene on your behalf.

Good luck! :thumb

I send all kinds of parts, items, books etc. etc. in Canada and the USA
The seller is full of S__t and too lazy to do a bit of homework.
A book can simply be wrapped in brown paper and sent. One does not even need to look for a box.

New shipping and feedback features for the marketplace

We’ve heard a lot of great feedback from everyone these past few weeks and are very excited to announce some new features:

1. You can now find statistics for your listings (e.g. listing views, messages, number of users who wishlisted your item) on the listing detail page when you are logged in as the seller.

To find your listing statistics, login here www.panjo.com/account/listings and click on one of your active listings. The statistics dashboard appears at the top of the listing detail page.

2. You can now see your hard-earned feedback in your Panjo profile.

3. New package tracking integration improves access to tracking information for buyers post purchase.

You can now input a tracking number for your sold listings which will automatically send a shipping confirmation to the corresponding buyer: Example. Both buyers and sellers will be able to track the progress of the shipment through Panjo.

4. Panjo is now actively promoting your listings on Facebook, Google, and Yahoo to increase the visibility of new listings to fellow members of BMW MOA. This provides a helpful reminder for prospective buyers to revisit and browse through your listings.

Once again, we want to thank you all for providing us with such great feedback! As always, if you have any questions, support needs, or feedback on how we can bring you an even greater marketplace experience, feel free out to our Panjo Support team at support@panjo.com. We’re here to help!

Separate Panjo account needed?

I tried to send a message to a seller, but Panjo asked for me to sign in. I was already signed in to BMWMOA and when I tried to sign in to Panjo using my BMWMOA information, it didn't take. Do you have to have a separate account with Panjo? I'm getting tired of putting my information all over the web. I just wanted to ask a question of a seller and I'm already signed into BMWMOA. Thought I could do this a long time ago, but maybe that was pre-Panjo. :(

I don't remember where or if I saw it, but there is a different login on Panjo. I did the same thing, used my credentials here and it didn't work. I think you have to register over there...unfortunately.

You do need to sign in separately to Panjo and the credentials could be different than what you use for bmwmoa.org or the forum. This became a requirement when Panjo moved off the vBulletin forum platform. I appreciate not wanting another login and password. The workaround is to contact the seller through the forum thread. If the seller included a listing in the forum, the link will be in the listing. You will not need a separate login for that. The other option is to PM me or email ted@bmwmoa.org with the item or username of the seller and I will look up the seller's contact information for you so that you can correspond directly.

Hello everyone!

My name is Niko and I'm the Community Manager here at Panjo. I am here if you need any help or have any feedback regarding the new marketplace.

What do you like about the marketplace? What do you dislike about the marketplace? What features do you think need to be added that can improve the marketplace?

I can be reached here on this thread or directly at info@panjo.com.

Sincerely,
Niko @ Panjo Support

Hi Niko

Just sold an item on the BMW market place thru Panjo. I'm about to ship the item and wondering how I get paid.

Congratulations on your first transaction! You should have received an email confirming the sale. On the email, there are just a few short instructions walking you through how to get paid. If you have any further questions, feel free to message support@panjo.com. Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone,

We released a new browsing feature this week:

You can now scroll through all listing photos in any listing tile in the marketplace to provide a more effortless and seamless browsing experience.

As always, if you have any questions, support needs, or feedback on how we can bring you an even greater marketplace experience, feel free to reach out to our Panjo Support team at support@panjo.com. We’re here to help!

One more thing, we released a new payout feature as well:

Faster Payouts are now available to new sellers. For the last few months, if you had just received your first sale AND hadn't already verified a PayPal account, payouts could take upwards of up to 24 hours, but now payouts can be completed within a few minutes. The new self-service option eliminates payment delays for new sellers and mitigates shipment delays for buyers.

Dear Panjo Support Team..

One suggestion - put someone in charge of sorting out the listings into the correct categories. Apparently posting in the correct category is beyond many MOA members, so they post wherever they start out. As an example, in the bikes for sale section - there are a host of listings for things besides bikes - including a WTB for a bike, which I would think might better live in the WTB section. In browsing the Bikes for Sale section -- non-bike listings often outnumber the actual bike listings. Of course some of the bike listings have also ended up in the Parts for Sale section.

The totally random placement of listings makes the Panjo marketplace much less useful to someone seeking something on it. Perhaps adding a popup after someone completes their listing asking them to select the correct section for the ad (and then placing it in the selected section) might help alleviate this problem.

The Panjo riders club

I think I saw a link from Panjo to the MOA.

Does this means we can join the Panjo riders Club and they provide a link to the MOA website free of charge we save our yearly dues and still have access to the club?

They I am sure will print a nice monthly magazine with lots of adds and pics.

I bet they will provide admin staff for the club for a nominal charge. We can fire all the paid staff and get rid of the new offices where ever they are.

PANJO it's how we Roll

Thanks for the excellent feedback and suggestion, I will forward this request to the rest of the team! We are aware of this and have been actively scanning the marketplace every day for misplaced listings and reaching out to those respective sellers. Many members of the community have also taken it upon themselves to send item reports to us for misplaced listings (e.g. the report item button below the description of each listing) and have us re-locate them.

Once again, we really appreciate the feedback! If you have any further questions/suggestions, feel free to write to us at support@panjo.com. Happy Holidays!

Dear Panjo Support Team..

I just bought an item and noticed a small problem. When filling out the shipping info form I would click continue to process payment and the form would just blank out and not proceed. I was entering the phone number XXX XXX XXXX. When I changed the format to XXXXXXXXXX the form filled correctly and then proceeded to payment screen as it should. You might want to check this bug out.
