My 1974 R75/6 story

I'll still use OEM...Ted Porter will be doing my heads.

The exhaust threads on my left head are going away so I planned on having valves converted over this winter when I have the threads rebuilt.

Ted's done some work on my /5 with good results, I like his personality as well. 8 times out of 10 when you call he is who answers the phone in the service department.

In my case, one of the exhaust valves hit a piston during a 5K RPM acceleration. Valve stem bent. This, after several thousand miles of gentle running in. I might not have had a failure had I not "abused" the motor. With the all OEM re-work, I can do that sort of thing with impunity.
