Mid-South ride, eat, and meet

Mound City at flood stage. Before the levee was built the Mississippi River flooded east Arkansas on a regular basis. After the levee was built east Arkansas flooded on a regular basis due to the fact the water couldn't get to the Mississippi River. A real conundrum if there ever was one. Here the tenet store building flooded and the livestock taking refuge on the Indian Mound. :scratch:dunno

How many times have you crossed the Mississippi River and thought, how impressive. Then cranked down on the throttle , gotta get east to the Blue Ridge, the Dragon, the Atlantic Ocean. Crossing the river headed west to the Rockies, the Grand Caynon, the Pacific. My suggestion is slow down once and really stop and investigate one of the most impressive features of America, The Mississippi River. Slow down stop and enjoy one of the great features of America. :)

Leo's Man Cave

On the way to the winery, I stopped in for a quick visit to my buddy, Leo. He's making progress on it.

Litter Patrol

Was out the other day doing my mourning walk. Got back, sit down and thought about the little walk. I just turned 65, just tryin to stay healthy. It kinda was terrible. The trash, litter, rubbage, waste was just too much. The little gravel road is really an ally just one lane wide. It's the backside of the neighborhood, almost a no man's land. I walk it because it's close, convenient with a lot of shade. I usually clean it up at the end of fall and the beginning of spring. Kids use it as a get thru short cut to the hiway. They do the littering. Oh well.
