Was sitting at the community table. Saw the OTL mag. Vacationing in Ukraine. Hummm, I guess it’ll be interesting 50 years from now, I rode into a war for my vacation ride. Ducking and dodging shells, missiles, bombs. I guess all your future rides will be kinda boring.
Back when I started riding in the early 80’s, Summer Av. was the place to go for new and used motorcycles and anything U needed for them. Harley’s all the Jap and Euro brands, new and used bikes. I hit all the shops. It was a different time back then. Lot of used car lots, they all had used bikes on the lot for sale.
Next door cat hangs out with me. Probably the friendliest cat in the neighborhood. Follows me everywhere. Avus black with Polaris silver ear tuffs. Meow has a slight Teutonic accent. I call him Avus for short.
Doing some yard work; took a break. Sitting down resting, Avus crawled up on my shoulder. Tried to get a picture of him sitting there. Pretty much got just me.
Left ShakeRag and drove back to West Memphis, stopped to listen to some Karaoke ant the Old Airport Club. Actually this bar has some good copy cat singers. Had the usual local bikers on their bikes.
I’m kinda disappointed; wanted to go over to central Arkansas and attend the Naturally Beemers weekend Campout. Couldn’t quite pull the trigger. Maybe go next year. Went to ShakeRag and Old Airport Club as a cheap sad alternative. Hopefully make it next year. Really prefer to hang with the Beemer crowd over the biker groups. Oh well.
Hope to make next year as well as am in process of returning to my home state. Hopefully meeting up with you as well. Always keeping up with this thread
