Low Speed Tip Over - Throttle Problems

Hi Forum,

I had a low speed tip over on my 2014 R1200GS. Very low speed. When I got the bike upright, the fault light was on the throttle just appeared to be stuck at 3000 RPMs. I had very little or no throttle control. It got a little better the second time, But the throttle still seems wacky. Any suggestions? Pinched throttle cable?
? I have the GS 911. So that should help.

Thank You!

Hi Jonas,
If the bike tipped over on the RH side, (throttle side) there may have been some unseating of the electrical plug on the twist grip.
See if you can either push it in more firmly, or see if something on the connection was damaged.

Hope this simple thing is all there is to it.

Resetting the TPS may help. Disconnecting the ground from the battery for a minute or so will do it. If you have keyless ignition you can cycle the ignition on/off four times at one second intervals. You should hear an audible click indicating a simple reset of sensors.

Thanks!
