Looking for Pictures of the late Keith Patchett

I am writing a tribute to the late Keith Patchett #981 who was an MOA Ambassador and my mentor. Keith passed away in September of 1998. I only have pictures from the last month of his life and would like to have some from when he was in his prime. If any of you could help me out in honoring my friend, I would be most appreciative. The picture(s) will be submitted with the article and will hopefully run in the September issue.

Regards,

Will

didn't his adds in the ON have a picture of him and his bike? I still have reams of papers on tuning and adjusting he sent me(plus his paper on systems that is still so truethfull and funny it hurts to read it!) sorry no pics.

I also have paperwork from Kieth at home (it was Kieth not Keith, right?) as well as ON back to the early '80s. I can check when I get there...

Edit: It is Kieth Patchett...I just looked at some old ON ads.

Edit: There's article about "Kieth's Touring" in the November 1994 MOA News. Amazingly (!), my copy is MIA...either missing or misfiled. It's possible there might be something there. If you're working on this for a future article, maybe the MOA Hdqtrs could find that copy and see if there's a picture. Or maybe someone out there in the hinterland might have the issue.

Will, were you the one who was involved in a "fracas" about a year ago? I thought you might have been ferrying a bike back from Colorado?? I believe we may have traded posts on Boxerworks at the time...

Keith Patchett and the Colorado Bike fiasco

Sorry to take so long to get back to you; yes I am the guy. I Owned a nice R100RT for about 3 1/2 days before totaling it 100 miles east of Memphis. You can reach me at will3hawks@verizon.net or 570-342-6880. I'd love to talk and I can call you back if you get in touch with me.

WILL!!!

Man-o-man.... How are you doing these days? You cant imagine how many times I've thought about you and wondered how youre doing.

I was a long distance friend of Kieth's myself and have to say thet he and his writings have been a huge influence on my thinking and not just about BMW's. He was an interesting, intelligent guy and pretty generous with his time and attention as well. He was also one of the few guys who never steered me wrong!:D

I'll be giving you a call shortly and I'll try to mind the time zone thing.
