2022 Ride Planning - Who's Riding Where - What else are you doing?

thanks Paul, I am committed so I am going, if I have to I can iron butt east from Gallup on the 40, but I would rather take the road less traveled.

I just posted in, just riding, maybe should have posted here. I am looking for road, weather, camping, fire info along the 60, and 380 in southern NM. hoping to camp west of Roswell at the Cave campground. wondering if that is a good idea?

I used this site two years ago to keep track of some fires in Colorado and Wyoming.

thanks Lee, I have searched NM wildfires so many times it comes in my news feed every day. I just called the BLM office in Roswell, the Mcbride fire is the only fire currently in the area, it was 94% contained yesterday. campground is open. I am hoping for a warm spell next week.

Texas, April (already over, 12 days, 3552 miles)
Blue Ridge Parkway weekend, June
Colorado via Idaho, July (26 days)
Kentucky weekend, August
Colorado Jeep trip September (16 days)
Arkansas, October (9 days)

Only 30 miles from our motel last year near Grants NM when we had to backtrack 140 miles. The fire that turned us back wasn't there that morning. We did get to see a jet tanker make a few drops but the cool factor fades when you realize they are trying to save a town.
