K75 vent hose

Hi all,
New member with my first post to a forum that has already given me some insight to a problem I was having with a recently purchased 1993 K75S. While removing the tank to pull the injectors out, I noticed that neither of the two vent hoses were attached to the tank. I cleared debris out of the one that dumps near the rear of the bike, but found that the other wasn't attached at either end. I figured out where the tank end goes easily, but have no idea where the other end goes. Looks like it should be attached some where. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

On many K75 series bikes the vent hoses are disconnected or discarded purposely. On such bikes, a plastic drain cup is clipped to the frame directly under the vent tubes on the tank. The hose connector toward the front on top of the right crankcase cover is then blocked. One method is to cut the hose that connects to it to about an inch long and plug it with a machine screw or golf tee. Another method is to cut the hose to about two inches, fold it over and cinch it with a cable tie. On mine, I fashioned a plug from a short length of hose filled with black silicone sealant.

By the way, if you need the plastic drain cup, email me privately and I'll send you my spare, free of charge.

Thanks Craig. I had found the folded over tube secured with the ty-rap but wasn't sure if this was the actual termination point of the vent hose or not.I wasn't sure if the hose being disconnected would affect the performance of the engine or not (like a vacuum leak).I didn't want to put the bike back together and take it apart again to correct it. I've sent you a PM with my address.
