Greetings!
I just bought a 2014 K16 GTL a few days ago and the previous owner changed the fuel filler cap with an after market one that simply screws on and off. I want to go back to the OEM setup but I do not know if the GTL had the keyless option without breaking into the Tupperware and looking for a electrical connection. I do know that the exclusive did have the option from the info I have found so far. This model does have the electric locking set up both on the right handlebar control and through a button fob.
Also, if I were to get the standard manual locking gas cap that requires the key, will mine fit or will I have to get another key? I am hoping that the tumbler would be universal for any key for the appropriate bike that it's fitted to, but this is BMW, and they are quirky at best with some of this stuff.
Does anyone have any information or experience with this? I have read a number of threads in several forums about going away from the OEM setup, but not back to it, so I am a bit starved for info at this point.
Thanks
