iPod adaptor

I have an adopter for the old style iPod, but it really doesn't work well....it came from eBay, one of the twenty dollar ones. I'm thinking it's the adaptor, because it plays from a memory stick. Has anyone had a problem with the old style iPods?

Old iPod works fine

I have an older iPod with 7k tunes on it, running through the OEM cable, works fine. If you dig around here you'll find several threads with complaints about haphazard or defective eBay cords. That said, if the thumb drive works, that might be the most efficient solution.
