Greetings all. After a two year hiatus, I am back in the saddle, this time on an 08 R1200R. I am looking forward to being a part of the forum, the BMW motorcycle community, sharing and learning from everyone here.

Be safe out there!

Welcome, Hex! Glad to have you here!

Will you be racking some miles and attending the National Rally in Missouri?

Also, check your PM's.

Mod correction - corrected title from Hellp to Hello!

Don't want to confuse the many good samitarians we have who are ready and willing to lend a hand.

Yes it is a special place. I tend to stay away during the tourist season since it gets so crazy, but there is nothing like Gettysburg in the fall. I am planning on taking my son the the first time this October.

Welcome home!

Glad to have you here. Love the pics of the bike in your introduction.

I just bought a 99 R 1100 R a few weeks ago and am getting used to the change from an RT.

Hope to see you on the road. :clap

always somewhere to go.

Welcome Hex,

Just across the PA/DE border is a motley crew of Beemerphiliacs calling ourselves the MidAtlantic Riders. We'd welcome you in to the gang if you so desire. Check out our website for up coming events at www.midatlanticriders.com. We generally meet for breakfast or lunch the second Saturday of the month. July will be in Chadds Ford, PA and August down state in DE. We have several members in the Lancaster/Quarryville area. :wave:thumb

Checked out the website, looks cool. I would love to join. My brother lives in the Kennett Square area, so I could kill two birds with one stone if I come out. I will fill out the app and send it in. Thanks for the invite!! :kiss

Hex,

MARs is a great group of people. And Tom does a great job of keeping us together along with the help of the other club officers, Klaus, Teresa, and Big Frank.

I'm in Carlisle. We'll have to link up--I seldom see another R12R in the wild. I'll have 38K+ on mine by the time I hit two years next week, so I know pretty much every good stretch of road in in Central PA.

That would be cool. We used to have a camper at Dogwood Acres in Newville, so I am somewhat familiar with the Carlisle area. I really want to plan a ride to the Gettysburg area this fall, hit the park, grab some lunch, etc.

The road that is on is where I learned to ride. I rode it every day for the first month or so I had a bike. I seldom go that way now though because the road hasn't been repaved for a long time and is in very bad condition, at least for riding.
