Never afraid to wrench
Hello,
New member and relatively new BMW owner here. I picked up a 2012 R 1200 GS last year that had sat for several years (shocks needed an overhaul and the bike needed a full service, but otherwise nothing wrong), refurbished it, added a few thing, and have been enjoying it since! I've been riding for ~20 years and this is my first BMW - I had never ridden one until I got this one running again. My other bike is a Triumph Bonneville (also air cooled). Between both, I can cover every mission that I have.
I've attached a few photos from my GS refurb - a fun project.
