Hello from NJ

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I’m from Morris County NJ. I’ve owned BMW motorcycles for the last 6 or 7 years. I have a 2014 R1200GSA and a 2016 K1600GT. I took the BMW off-road class in SC a couple of years ago. I’ve been riding for about 50 years. IMG_2365.jpegIMG_2834.jpeg

Hallo Chris up yonder in the Garden State!
Glad that after so many years on BMWs, you’ve finally come to your senses and found the Mothership. We tend to get involved with certain functions hosted by the MOA and we’ll certainly be camping and volunteering at the National Rally in June in Lebanon. It is, after all, about 100 miles away this year! :laugh Hope you’ll decide to attend an event in the future. It’s more fun when you see familiar faces and have some discussions with distant acquaintances. This May, we’ll put in an appearance at the GA Mountain Rally in Hiawassee [since we’re Not visiting Europe this spring]. I’m sure you’re fully briefed on the twisty roads in GA & NC since U own such glamorous BMW models... :thumb

Get out there and make some new LDR friends - Make Life a Ride so to speak... :nod

Happy Trails whenever U can on your splendid Beemers!

Welcome Chris . Some very nice riding in Northern NJ including the areas both West and North of Morris County. Nice choice of bikes too.

Welcome Chris, I am also in Morris County, NJ. How did you like the 2-day class in Spartanburg?

It was a great experience. I would highly recommend it. My son and I went with my best friend and a gang from Hermy's. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I stopped at a place outside of Washington today (Marley's Junior -- excellent lunch) and met some guys from the Skylands Sport Touring Club (they are BMW chartered, but dropped "BMW" to make it known that all bikes are accepted). It seems they tend to get out on rides most weekends. My wife rides her G310R and I ride...one of several bikes, but today was an R1100R. If you ever want people to ride with, they might be good to look up -- they seemed like a good group of guys.

That is great to hear. What are your thoughts on riding the PA Wilds Pennsylvania BDR-X? I am always looking for more people to ride with.
