Greetings,
I'm glad I found this club and I look forward to reading about your adventures and learning from all of you!
While I've had my motorcycle license for a long time, It's been a lot of years since I've owned a motorcycle.
I have been racing road and mountain bicycles competitively in the USA and Europe for for over twenty years and really love the freedom that two wheels brings.
I'd recently been discussing buying a motorcycle with my wife and she seemed cool with the idea...
(A good start)
Also, we live really close to her job, so she decided she might be interested in a scooter for her.
We went to a local Honda dealership and found her a scooter.
After buying her scooter I was looking at their pre-owned bikes and they happened to have a really clean 2000 R1200C with 10,000 miles that I bought for $3,500.00
While it's far cry from the GS1200 that I ultimately one day will buy, it still brings back all the memories and freedom I felt when I bought my first bike so many years ago.
For the money I didn't see how I could go wrong and after owning and riding her for a few weeks, I think I'm right.
While it's a fifteen year old bike, it still turns heads and has a unique look that I like. Thanks
