Gps

I wish they still made the Quest. I'm on the original one I bought years ago - still keeps on ticking. Has it's own battery if needed, small in size, outlet for an earbud, easy to transfer back and forth to car. Loaded in european road maps for two tours - worked great!

Unfortunately you can't get map updates anymore so Alice get lost every once in a while........................

Check out the Garmin Nuvi 550 (~250 clams). IPX7 waterproof and advertised by Garmin to be Motorcycle friendly. The only downside is the lack of porting sound to your helmet. However, with mine mounted above the IC, a quick glance tells me all.

YMMV

+1 on the Garmin nuvi 550. I got mine last year and have ridden through downpours, no problem. Garmin sells a hardwire kit; I found one on ebay for $30, bought the RAM mount on ebay for another $30. I find I do not really need the sound. Bluetooth, XM Radio, and the other features on the Zumo are things I probably would not use if I had them, so I would prefer not paying for them.
