These guys are the worst. Their products may be good but their customer service and technical support are non-existent. They do not reply to emails (support at gerbing dot com) and they do not answer their phones and voice messages - even when I tell them that I am ready to place an order.

Been a while. This page of a thread described the resolution to a repair and may provide some hints as to the heated gears lineage.

Anybody do any repair work on their Gerbing heated gear?

oh, it took out the system neutral and a 7200 v line and with our limestone poor grounding paths...it went looking. The municipal electric kinda hates me cuz I "watch" the power. Ever since I had a problem 10 or so years ago and had to go deep :eek and let them know that I should't be able to...

I've been dealing with Them for years with no problems getting repairs done for free. Last year I sent my 12 year old gloves in to get rewired & while they were there they offered me a very large discount on a new lighter glove & now I have two pairs.
