Engine control fault

Fault in the engine control message. Has anyone else had this issue. I have had this come on my screen 4 times. BMW cannot find the problem.

Welcome to the forum! Is there a code or symbol that is displayed? Does the fault stop the bike from running?

Welcome to the clan! If you can read the code, have a look at https://bmwfault.codes/
Nothing in the owner's manual?
Sometimes this is just the starting point for tracing the "Real" problem... which your dealer doesn't want to spend time on...?

BMW germany has determined the fault is in the wiring harness! Only took 4 times for them to come up with this diagnosis, one other time they were sure it was the ''knock sensor''....It will take 4 friggen weeks to just get the harness. There goes the riding season!

What is the fault? Is the bike now un-rideable?

...AND how they determined, from across the Atlantic, it's the harness ... unless it's a fiber-optic line and the dealer couldn't figger that out.
