Dead battery - 2008 R1200 LT

My 1200 just 'click...click...clicked' when attempting to start after a week on none use. Rode it for the day, seemed to charge up (started back at the barn). Next week - dead, nothing. Battery is an Odyssey pc 680 and a little over a year old. Bad battery or a slow drain? Any idea where I can start looking? No heated seat or grips used when riding. I presume the only electrical item draining when off is the clock. Would love some advice before dropping $170 on a battery. Dave

Sometimes those batteries just fall off a cliff and die. I'd charge the battery one more time, start the bike, and read the voltages across the battery terminals with the engine at say 3000 RPM. This will help confirm if the alternator is working. You could also find the battery ground cable and ensure that the contact points are clean...do the same to the terminals at the battery.
