Cylinder rattle

I have replaced valve springs both cylinders. Right hand is good. Will start just on this cylinder. Starts second or third kick.
But
Left hand is very noisy mechanical rattle. It is not valve clearance. It is not vertical post gap

Inspection shows push rods are 24mm and 24.2mm and not bent.
Could the extra 0.2 mm be the problem.
Cam followers have no pitting.

Appreciate any help

Sounds like it's time for a stethoscope... 🩺
Other sources could be the wristpin or connecting rod.

Tks. I am new to this and inexperienced. So appreciate your patience if the answer to my questions are obvious.
I have a cylinder bore of 69.5mm and a piston skirt of 69.16mm. So skirt clearance is 0.44 mm which seems excessive.
Also there is 5mm of lateral movement of the piston on the connecting rod.
I’m thinking that with the skirt clearance would cause quite a noise.
Am I right,
