Crash bars vs. head.... Covers?

I went with those initially. Unfortunately, when I went looking for somewhere to mount some auxiliary lights recently, not only could I not find any brackets that would mount to the small diameter bars, but the sport bars also interfered (on the left side) with the one set of light brackets I could find for my RS - from Machineart Moto. The MaMo X Heads freed up that mounting point and allowed me to have some measure of engine protection and mount the lights.
