Coolant change interval?

There is no official coolant change interval. Like the clutch, the fluid is deemed lifetime.

That said, coolant is easy to test for effectiveness. No need to guess, just test it at every 12K service. If it fails, change it.

Oh come on that is just an easy application of common sense!
 
Just so you know ... the lifetime fill fluid was NEVER the issue with these final drives. It was assembly problems.

This... and not necessarily the original factory assembly... shade tree techs and shops taking shortcuts to decrease time taken to perform the process correctly in many of the cases I've seen.

The great thing about being a shade tree tech is that I am not on the incentive plan/flat rate. I don't have to please a boss and try to earn a commission.

I have absolutely no idea what this statement means regarding a lifetime filled maintenance free forever final drive assembly that according to the repair manual and specifications nobody had anything to do with or to.
