Consumer Reports segment on CBS Sunday morning

Interesting segment on today's CBS Sunday morning on how Consumer Reports works. I have heard, even here on the forum, references on something rated by CR.

Personally, I don't know much about CR so this segment was rather interesting.

I would imagine that with digital access something that one was interested in would be searchable via the CR site?

Yes it is. I have had a subscription to their service for over twenty years and always research any major purchase before buying beginning with their recommendations. I find their advice quite helpful most of the time.

Long-time subscriber, and I check their info and ratings for a lot of purchases but only as one source among many. My son is a Jeep aficionado and calls CR “The little magazine of hate” as they have for so long been negative on US automakers, but especially Jeep and Stellantis in particular. A fair bit of that has been evidenced toward BMW, too.

It would be interesting to see CR’s take on motorcycles, with head-to-head comparisons like they do with cars.

To be fair, US automakers have had their quality and reliability falling off a cliff for the past couple of decades (or more)....

Maybe they deserve a little bit of that hate???
