Clutch Bleeder Valve

I want to change the fluid for the clutch and brakes this week, and have read in previous posts the need for a bleeder valve in place of the grub screw for the clutch. Is this a standard bleeder valve I can get at Auto Zone? Or do I need to go to a dealer for the BMW part?
Any help is appreciated.

Given the long stretch from clutch lever to bleeder location (near swingarm, left side of bike), which makes for a challenging one person operation, i have found great success with these:

get 2- one will permanently replace that large chunk of stupidity that comes attached to your right side front caliper, the other will see shared usage on the left caliper, rear caliper and clutch bleeder.

Any reason not to just buy a set and replace them all? @ $8 each, it seems like a cheap upgrade

only $. we have 2 oilheads, so that would be $32 extra on the brake bleeders (on top of the "mandatory" $16 for the right side brake bleeder), and then maybe another $16 if i did the clutch bleeders with a permanent replacement. so for me, the additional ~$50 is not nearly worth the convenience gained for a once every 2 years job. HAHAHAHA

love that description. and don't worry if that chunk of stupidity seems a bit hard to get off, you just gotta heat it a bit as it's in with loctite.

you'll need a slightly smaller speed bleeder for the rear. careful overtightening, i snapped one off.

for SOME REASON i could never get a bleed nipple to screw into the cluch bleeder. i just poked a small allen wrench into it, had my buddy squeeze the clutch, removed the allen key and let the clutch go, repeat, repeat, repeat. not "normal" procedure but that's what i've done.:blah

That is what I figured, but wanted to see if there was a technical reason.
Thanks

Think I said this somewhere before but all you have to do is replace the plug with a standard bleeder valve then just open the bleeder and simply let gravity do its job while you make sure the reservoir remains full no need to pump the clutch lever at all. This method works only for the clutch but it works great with no need for speed bleeder.
