Picked it up in Sterling Heights, Michigan on Tuesday morning. 2011 with 15,000 miles.
Brought it home on a UHaul trailer.
She is home in the garage now.

A bozo on the bus
Dennis - you might see the dealer's parts manager about getting a sealing ring for the gas cap mount to the tank. The S1000RR models all have them (same cap assembly).. the R1200R doesn't - and water gets past the gap between the cap assembly and the tank and causes rust in the recess in the top of the tank. The seal/gasket is only a few dollars. There is a name for it that I'm sure someone will pop up with shortly.. if you can't find it let me know, I'll look up the PN..
I see it came with a Sargent seat, and a windshield that I don't recognize (funny - I thought I've owned all the ones made for the R1200R at some point or another..) Nice. You'll love the bike, it's one of the best things to come out of BMW in decades.

Thank you Don, I will look into it. I don't know the brand of windscreen, and doubt it will stay on. I enjoy the wind. Can't imagine that little thing does much anyway.
