BMW plug extension cord

Does anyone know of a short extension cord available that has a BMW male plug on one end and BMW female plug on the other end

Not I, but the parts are certainly available separately, so you could easily just build it.
Make sure the gauge of the wire, and the type of insulation, are OK for the current you need it to carry.

Not sure but guessing you are talking about the BMW DIN (goofy) plug?

Have a look at eBay- https://www.ebay.com/itm/124635007397

Just curious as to what you are trying to do…….if I guessed correctly.

Thanks all. Omega Man, the one you reference would work, but I would like only about 8 to 12 inches instead of 60 inches. My passenger has a hard time plugging in her vest into the 2016 R1200 RT outlet, If anyone has one they know the problem. It is hard to get plugged in sitting on the mc.
I could make up one, but was looking for a ready made one.

I only asked what you were using it for because it seems like a direct to the battery connection seems to work best be it an SAE or coaxial heater gear pigtail. The good part of having a direct to the battery connection is that it’s a non-complicated way of doing a maintenance charge for the battery connection.
On cord length, you may be able to purchase a complete assembly less expensive than parts purchased separately and shorten as needed.
Hope it all works out.

Is the BMW plug currently attached to the vest, or is it on an extension cord leading to a coax or SAE fitting? The female BMW-style socket (Hella socket) is a rather bulky item both to pack and in use. You may be better off removing the BMW plug and converting the end to SAE or coax, then either building or buying an extension cord to fit—there are numerous vendors for those.

Best,
DeVern

You could search ISO 4165 on eBay or better yet eBay Germany (ebay.de) or eBay UK (ebay.co.uk)
