Thinking maybe fly into Boston next summer and rent a beemer for 10 days exploring the old haunts and visiting relatives still up and running.

Anyone know if one of the dealers rents motors in that city?

I am not a paid promoter of Riders Share - https://www.riders-share.com - that said I have been a user and ridden with friends that have used the service locally out of Boston.

I used the service to rent a K1600B last year in Austin for MotoGP and had a great experience - tried out an awesome bike I'd have never ridden otherwise and made a new friend in Texas.

Owner was a nice guy and had a ton of bikes. We did 1600 miles in 4 days and he didn't blink.

Factor in that with the most expensive insurance [full protection plus no upfront charge against your accounts] you're going to pay about $200 per day, plus any mileage restrictions/overage [though I specifically sought out unlimited mileage as I knew we'd be covering a lot of ground down south].

All in all I've hd a good experience with this service, of course ymmv.
