BATTERY *Odyssey *PC925L

Cycle-tron plus - 385 cca - 30 ah

I had to do a quick buy this weekend cuz the battery in my RS took a poop.
The village auto parts store carries Interstate motorcyle batteries which are made by YUASA.
CYCLE-TRON PLUS - 385 CCA - 30 AH

Supposedly the top o the line and most powerful in its class. It is a tad taller but still got the strap on just barely. I feel pretty confident that 30 amps cranking the big boxer and the YUASA name will get me through alotta miles.
It's pricey retail but you can buy them online a bit cheaper if you do a search.

I've had pretty good luck with Odysseys as well, which would be my choice, but I needed it NOW...

I haven't read through this entire thread, but the PC680 worked perfectly. I have a 84 R80RT

I went to a Battery Plus. They had both batteries instock. Odyssey recommended a completely different battery than Battery plus does. They had both batteries instock.Turns out the PC680 worked perfectly. I was able to look at both and Battery plus is correct. The PC680 is the the right battery.

I'd also like to comment that because the Odyssey battery is a dual purpose battery it is perfect for for my rt due to it's inability to charge while at idle. Because it works as a deep cycle battery, discharging and recharging doesn't ruin the battery.

I am very happy with the battery. I've had it for less than 2 years, but so far so good.

For half of the winter, I did not have the battery on a charger. I wanted to see how well this thing holds a charge. And letting it sit through a Chicago winter is a perfect test. It cranked right up. And it took several tries to get it going. Not once did the battery strain or feel like it didn't have enough juice to do the job.
