2024 National Rally - Where Will It Be?

Board meetings used to be held 4 times a year and any member could attend the open session. When I was webmaster and forum liaison I went to many of them.

We used to have videoconferences, too.

Personally, I enjoy following along with what’s happening in our club. For instance, looking at the masthead of a recent BMW Owners News I see that we hired a new Business Development person. Given that we are a member-driven club, I think all members would feel more a part of our club (and less like a customer) if that opportunity was made available to any qualified member. ymmv.

If we truly are a member-driven club, this type of information would be available to all members and announced during the open session of a board meeting. It would also be published in our magazine, web site and some social channels.

One other observation, in October, we always held the board meeting at the next year’s rally site. This would allow many members to come and get excited about volunteering at the rally. In the many times that I have done this I have found it to be a strong community building exercise. We no longer do that. :dunno

Out of respect for others, I don’t want to go off topic but I wanted to acknowledge I read your post and you made great points. Thank you, Ian.

Showers?

Ok, maybe a stupid question, but trying to see what the facilities are like at the Meadows Event Park. I see there are permanent bathroom facilities...but do they have showers for the campers? I can't seem to find anything on the rally website or the venue's website.:banghead

In the past, some buildings have showers but the MOA usually brings in a couple shower trailers.

Fargo is two time zones east of me. It's hardly "the west" unless you live on the Atlantic coast. :ha

Sacramento would be great

It's two time zones ahead for me presently, summer time it's one time zone ahead. Az doesn't change their clocks like the rest of the country. :)

Fargo's doable for my brother and I. We're usually in SD in July, so a June Fargo rally just puts us a few weeks in front of that.

At the 40 second mark of the teaser video; if one those nine locations is in fact the location of the '24 National...

I'll not be surprised if Spokane WA. is the joint. And in the month of July.
